Practical recycling for education environments
Printing and photocopying naturally generate waste consumables over time, and many organisations are looking for practical ways to reduce their environmental impact.
Our approach combines straightforward recycling initiatives with measures that help education environments reduce waste and improve environmental performance over the long term.

Your printer can Plant a Tree!
As part of our wider environmental approach, qualifying equipment installations may also support tree planting initiatives.
A certificate can be provided following installation to confirm participation.
This complements practical measures such as responsible recycling, waste reduction, and more efficient print management.
Choosing the right printer
Selecting the right printer is about more than print speed or headline specifications.
When advising on printers, we consider:
- Expected print volumes
- Colour versus mono requirements
- Number of users
- Space and placement
- Ongoing running costs.
This approach helps avoid over-specification while ensuring the printer performs reliably in real-world conditions.

Consumables recycling
Many recycling providers only accept certain brands or specific types of consumables, which can leave organisations sorting items into multiple waste streams.
Our scheme is designed to avoid that complexity.
We accept consumables from all major printer and photocopier manufacturers, helping schools and education providers manage recycling through a single collection process.
Recycling cartons and collection
Consumables are collected using dedicated recycling cartons supplied to your education setting.
Each carton measures approximately:
- 61cm high
- 57cm wide
- 43cm deep.

Recycling cartons are supplied at £25.00 + VAT, which includes both delivery and collection.
When full, collection and replacement can be arranged as required, helping keep the process simple and predictable.
Reducing waste through better print management
In many cases, reducing waste starts with better control of printing itself.
This can include:
- Matching equipment to actual usage
- Avoiding overspecified devices
- Improving visibility of print activity
- Reducing unnecessary printing.
These practical steps can help reduce both environmental impact and long-term running costs.
